3 DIY Skin Care Remedies

Oatmeal- Turmeric- Apple Cider Vinegar

Evens skin tones and improves complexion (omit Apple Cider Vinegar and replace with Coconut Oil if you have sensitive skin - it BURRRRRNS)

- 1 Tablespoon of Oatmeal

- 1 Teaspoon of Turmeric

- 1 Teaspoon of Apple Cider Vinegar (or 1 Tablespoon Melted Coconut Oil)

In a small food processor, pulse Oatmeal and Turmeric until it becomes powder-like (it is ok to leave some larger pieces this just offers and added exfoliate.)

Once you have your desired texture, add your liquid element of either Apple Cider Vinegar, or Coconut Oil and pulse again until well mixed. If you texture is too thick feel free to add a few drops of warm water. (Careful as the warmth will start to cook the Oatmeal and make it gluey which isn’t a bad thing it can just get very thick)

Apply to your skin with a brush. Leave on for 10 minutes (if you leave it on for too long, the turmeric may leave a yellow tone on your skin for a while so 10 minutes is all that you need.)

Rinse off! Moisturize with more coconut oil and voila!

Avocado- Matcha Honey Mask:

Anti-aging and rehydrating properties

- ½ Avocado

- 1 Teaspoon Matcha

- 1 Teaspoon Lemon Juice

- 1 Teaspoon Honey

- 1 Teaspoon Melted Coconut Oil

In a small food processor (if you do not have a food processor this one will be easy to do with just a fork) add all ingredients and puree until well mixed. (Easy right!)

Apply to your skin evenly and leave on for 15-20 minutes.

Rinse off and follow with moisturizer of your choice.

Coconut-Brown Sugar Coffee Scrub

Moisturizes skin while exfoliating.

- 2 Tablespoons of used Coffee Grounds

- 2 Tablespoons of Brown Sugar

- 2 Tablespoons of Melted Coconut Oil

- 1 Teaspoon of Cinnamon

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix with a spoon.

Store in a sealed container for up to 10 days.

Use in the shower as an all over exfoliant or on your lips for a nice lip scrub. (I keep mine in the shower and use it every time I shower. The coconut oil leaves my skin feeling well moisturized even after a hot shower!)
